Whew, good as your figures are 8) - glad you working a "personal low interest area" right now. I still need to work off some of your figures on my "want list" as it is...
Gracias,

Well, in the scales you work? (nothing in 40, for 28 see below):
Spanish/Mexican North America [North Mexico (think Chihuahua state,) New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Texas in today's geography] around 1680 (Pueblo Revolt) - 1820/1840 (Mexico wins independence "plus a few decades") - I have Zorro, banditos, Vaqueros, soldados de cuera and presidials plus Apaches, Commanches, and proxies for the others. I also use figures for Spain on Venus VSF, Gothic Horror in Nueva EspaƱa, Bugs versus Starship Toopers (1970/1980 humans,) and Fantasy.
I have many eras (italics) covered by legacy 25 mm figures. I still add figures that fit in to the theme (the 28 mm figures represent taller people than my 25 mm ones.
I much have converted all my aircraft and ACW (you don't do aircraft) to 1/600th with Napoleonics and SF combined arms being converted as time, money, and figure availability allow.
So while I appreciate your figures in 28 mm and will get some to have personalities, etc., I won't be a major consumer for 28 mm figures ever.
Gracias,
Glenn

Sadly I have developed a weakness for Gringo's 28mm! And am currently nursing a plan to use them with Muskets and Tomahawks skirmish rules. My brave French Legion will now be needing enemies in the form of Mexican Republicans, I fear another order in the future.... No doubt including these new Austrians!
When will we see some pics Ged?

Sadly I have developed a weakness for Gringo's 28mm! <snip>
Nothing sad about liking these figures...
other than too little money and time to indulge to the point of madness... ;)

the Marquis.....................just received the 5 new greens for the Austrians
this morning they are stunning IMHO..........and three new horses..as
i intend to start the cavalry for the period and add gunners to me extant
artillery pieces already available. A 3pr gun green for the Austrians sits
on my desk as well to go in the mould. pics as soon as i can get some

Fantastic! Can't wait to see. Will definitely be ordering some Jaegers when they are out. Got a couple of questions for you in the meantime:
1) Do you have any recommendations for a source of 28mm scenery for the Maximillian period in Mexico?
2) Any chance you could let us know who the first cavalry will be? Very excited about these!
-
Marquis
actually i am hand building some houses for the Era and making
scenic bases with cactus to sell.watch this space
regarding the cavalry its a huge undertaking as i want to do
all the major units and many small ones.......so i need to work out
what i fancy doing first..possibly Austrian Cavalry..hussars and lancers regards Ged www.gringo40s.com :D

Ged,
Would it be possible to know what kinds of poses we can expect for the jaegers? Marching, skirmishing etc?
thanks
-
the Marquis...............the Austrians are in skirmishing mode and eventually will cover the whole gambit as they were a large corp
with 6000 troops..............

Hi Ged,
Couple of quick questions, how are the Austrians coming along? Would you be able to tell me if Imperial/Republican troops still carried their colours into battle in this period?
-
Marquis
thanks for the comments...The Austrians are at the casters and will be a few weeks yet. i will post the minute i get some hot off the shelves!! :)
colours were carried into battle as captured standards/and guidions are
mentioned in memoires...i have a picture of a captured cavalry standard
of the 2nd imperial cavalry taken by the republicans

Hi Guys. Have you seen those Austrians? Just looked at Gringos site - words fail me. The detail, and what fantastic poses - so different and original - not the usual stereotype poses here. Fantastic Ged - as always.
