They look very useful.

Amazing.
Did you have a clear idea of what it would end up like, or were you making it up as you went along?

I like it. Looks very believable. Color scheme is very natural.

Thanks, everyone!
This piece has got quite a reaction considering that it's a pile of junk that took next-to-no-time to build!
I didn't have a plan, other than I was building some sort of flying saucer. I didn't even know I was going to do it as a crash. It just sort of happened. Fast.
As I pulled bits out of my junk box, I realised how I could use them - and the thing took shape before my eyes.
I'm glad I didn't leave it dark grey - I was going to - but that would be too predictable. Instead, it has a bright cartoony feel I rather like.
Now I need some appropriate aliens to stagger from the wreckage...
As to what brought it down, I suspect the only thing on Earth capable of such destruction would be Professor Shandy Tanglefoot's Over-Compensatory Death-Ray of Doom...

May take was that it had crashed a long time ago and that recent sedimentary action (or other erosion/ground shifts) had now revealed the stricken saucer.
-
Yup - that works too!
-
Blimey, that looks ace! :)

The first thing that came to mind was - "Wow! Another brilliant model!" :o
The second was "what is the Professor compensating for, I wonder ...." ;)
-
Trash-bashing at it's finest - bravo sir! :D
-
More to the point, what do you call it in heat-of-battle?
By the time you yell 'Fire Professor Shandy Tanglefoot's Over-Compensatory Death-Ray of Doom', the blighters would be overhead, raining black dust galore. ;)

Very clever stuff. Some might even say it's modern art..

Simply fantastic.
