Ok so my local games shop has stocked some empress miniatures and the force on force rule books and supporting books so a few of us have got a small force but we would like to go up a next level and start using vehicles and armour.
Can anyone recommend where I could find 28mm modern vehicles from the uk if possible?

Airfix?

Do airfix do 1:56??

Do airfix do 1:56??
1/48, for example they make a "Supacat HMT400 Jackal", the smaller version, Afghan houses, Land Rover Set and some other modern stuff like Lynx helicopters.
-
Would 1:48 scale vehicles fit in with 28mm troops?
-
With the bigger 35mm ones it would, do not try to fit it with the 1:56 types, like the ones from Wargames factory, but Black Scorpion, Copplestone and Reaper for example would work fine. I'll post a comparison pic with a Hobby Boss 1:48 tank, a Tamiya 1.48 mini and some Reaper minis tomorrow, so you can judge by yourself.

Here is a link to a picture on my Blog of a Snatch Landy from Airfix with some TAG Figures. In my opinion its a tiny bit too big, but I know that the Empress figures are a but bigger than TAG so it will probably be OK. Its all about personal taste at the end of the day.

S&S and Imprint were my choice.
S&S:

The crews are from Brooks Miniatures available from Old Glory UK, I don't like the S&S figures.
Here they are with TAG infantry:

@matakishi
are these 28mm?
-
It would be a bit of a pointless reply if they weren't wouldn't it?
-
well, misunderstandings occur and they looked 20mm to me
so I wanted to simply ask ....

Hi sorry for beeing late, but something deep inside of me didn't want to photograph unpainted minis...
So finally, here's my scale comparison pic:
These are: a 1:48 Sherman from Hobby-Boss, a Reaper-Mini GI (35mm), two Revell/Monogramm Paratroopers (1:48) and another Reaper GI.
The Monogramm miis came with the Dakota-Model by Revell/Monogramm. they are a little bulky and big, compared to Tamiya 1:48 minis, but IMHO look quite well next to the Reaper 35mm ones.

Here are the two Airfix Landrovers with Empress and Airfix troops.

The four vehicle crew, the three kneeling in the centre at the front and the one walking, second row 3rd from right, are all Airfix.
This was taken a month ago, and I struggled to work out which figures were Airfix.
The vehicles are painted now but I still have not decided whether to base them or not.
