Title: Bugs - variants?
Post by: Sinewgrab on June 08, 2013, 05:35:17 PM
Now, I understand that this may be a topic most people would consider ripe for Future Wars or maybe fantasy, but I blame this entirely on the Gentlemen who started talking about Venus, and I realized if I were to do Venus, I would rather do bugs/insectoids than lizards.  They fit the jungle better in my broken mind, and the absolutely horrid scene from Jackson's King Kong comes to mind.

Sooooo...

What all is out there?  I have a handful of the Dreamblade Hive Pincers, and a Plasma Bug from Starship Troopers, but I haven't really thought too much about it.

You could use these as bugmen?

I've found they are quite versatile as far as conversions go.

Depends on how anthropomorphic you want (walks on two and uses weapons with two; walks on 4, uses weapons with two; walks on 6 uses claws/teeth/pincers/acid spit...) but here are a few threads where people told me of bugs for games:

Some of that may be of use to you.
