So, two weeks from the deadline and Charles and I are ramping up the hours we are putting in. So much to do!
All the companies are written, but we're in the balancing and editing stage on those. Reading each other's work over and over. Kate's points calculator is running white hot and I'm thinking it might blow at any moment! We may have to move to Aonghus' points calculator soon (Note: both of these will soon be available on the IHMN blog).
Various other sections are being polished as well, after all we have a raft of new equipment, powers and talents. New scenario complications and landscapes across three continents. Water transportation as well as land, and a bestiary... Yes, I said a Bestiary.
We're still inside the word limit so all's looking good. If we have enough points to spare we might squeeze in another company.
Meanwhile I quit my job on Friday and start another on Monday, so no pressure there ;)
PS: Remember that the July edition of Wargames Soldiers & Strategy magazine has a brand new official company in it. And it is one you have been waiting for...

:D :D :D
Especially glad I am a WSS subscriber now!
BTW - played our first couple of games a week ago, and we loved it!!
-
And here in America I'm still waiting for the rule book. Would love to play the game. Should have bought direct from North Star1

You're still waiting? That's awful!
You do know you can get it as a Pdf don't you?

Randy and I, both. According to Lon, we're all waiting on a shipment held in customs. It appears that Amazon gets through more easily. Small wonder, I suppose.
I was looking into that route, but so far, all I've found for those of us in the US is the Amazon Kindle version. If someone can point me in the right direction...

I'm awaiting as well, although I received a shipping notice from Brigade. Doug, are you guys going to be playing regularly? I'd be up for driving to Lincoln.
Time for a 'MLAM'* I think...

I'm patiently waiting to hear Bro's maniacal laughter at the thought! You know we admire your work and sense of fun.
My Tong are in process of paint, and we've several others champing, bit-wise, until book arrives. Unless Saga totally side-tracks him, given his love of G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T., highly unlikely, you could have a game anytime you wish.
Trying to remember if Curr and his folk are ready yet.
What faction did you pop? I AM feeling non-buyer's remorse for the Yard.
However, that Yeti was too tempting, and useful in other things. Right now, I'm trying to figure out a Tibetan Singing Bowl of Death. If the dragon lady can have a Yeti, should be able to have the bowl. :D

I popped for all five factions :o
I'm so scatterbrained, with so many projects, it is pitiful- really.
I'm planning to start the Egyptian faction first- its the one I was least interested in originally. I'm looking forward to them now though and am considering stripping the paint off some other robed cultists I have and painting them to match.

I'm still waiting on mine from Brigade, too, but I went ahead and bought the digital version from Amazon for my Kindle reader. Looking forward to the next issue of WSS, and I thought the interview in the last issue was good, too, Craig.

You'll notice I've never asked about the cheap, toy transformers. ;) Such merde, I assume you'll just use bits as bitz.

Finally looked into the cost of an electronic subsciption to WSS. :o ;D They are practically giving the thing away.

They're going to be terrain, remnants of robots and mecha for my Relic Knights setup ;)

One week from the deadline and almost all the sections are in their final state. We are teetering on the very edge of the word limit.
Now comes the assembly operation, cross-referencing, final points check and its good to go... :o
We've decided to include a backwards compatibility section for the original companies in IHMN. This means players will be able to select suitable talents, powers and equipment from HVF for their existing companies. We'll do the same for the extra companies we publish on the blog and elsewhere when HVF is released.
There are now nineteen full companies in HVF, so plenty for you chaps to get stuck into.
Looking good :D
