Title: Fictional Barricade company?
Post by: Dr Mathias on 16 June 2013, 08:44:25 PM
Is there a sci-fi comic or graphic novel out there in which a company makes commercially available barricaded for rioters? Barricades 'R' Us, or ACME Barricade Corp. or something?

I feel like I saw something like that in an issue of Transmetropolitan or 2000 A.D. or similar, some sort of campy dystopian future, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm not sure if this is totally made up by my mind.

I cannot think of any from literary sources. How about "Jersey Barriers" or "New Jersey Barriers"?

If you made it up, copywrite it before someone on this fine forum steals it :)

lol

I have some sci-fi barricades I want to paint up and I wanted to have the manufacturer's label on some of them.

Maybe I should do a Kickstarter... that's the trend nowadays :)

I can't imagine a company providing barricades for rioters who then pay....

but I can imagine a company providing barricades for security forces to fence demos and rioters, and then the insurrectionists breaking into the storage and stealing them and using them

Actually that's one of the scenarios I'm working on ;)
