Title: Painting a metal figure to look like crystal, how to?
Post by: obsidian3d on June 19, 2013, 11:21:56 PM
Hey all,

I have a metal figure from that I'm looking to paint to resemble dark crystal, probably green. He's a humanoid made entirely of living crystal, so I was thinking about priming it white, then using a few layers of inks, with a gloss clear coat at the end.

Have any of you done something similar? If so, how did it turn out, and how did you do it?

Thanks!

Found this tutorial online - it's insane, but looks fantastic!

Hey thanks for the link. It's definitely helpful to see how someone else attained such a result!
