Title: GWM Late War British Infantry in Cold Weather Clothing
Post by: Over Open Sights on June 23, 2013, 01:13:24 PM
A great pack of miniatures from GWM. Three painted up as 6th Bn. Oxon-Bucks Light Infantry (black patches on arms and the Divisional sign of  white circle with black cross on rear of helmet) and three as 5th Bn. Royal Berks (black ace of spades on rear of helmet).

Nice.  You certainly have WWI licked when it comes to colour choices.

Lovely work, what's your painting style is it straight forward three colour or do you blend with a wet palette. I'm tempted by WW1 but not sure where to start with the palette.

Straight out of the bottle, slap it on three tone approach, Mate. Blending? That should only be done with cheap scotch! If you want to get some idea for palette choices then I'd be happy to send you any of my painting guides. Just go here:

Great job, very expressive faces. I particularly like the work on the helmet covers and the bayonets.

Absolutely! My grandfather fought with the Ox & Bucks in Salonika (7th Battalion).
