Hi All,
It's been a while, but I finally have some new Hinterland minis to release. Not a large collection, but certainly varied. First, an idea I started more than a year ago, is the Hinterland robot, aka: Autohusaren:

This is a multi-part, semi-poseable, 40mm tall bodyguard/sidekick for the hussars. He's based on artwork by Matt Leahy, and is laboriously sculpted by Paul Hicks, who playfully (I think) hated me by the end of the process.
The second release is a vehicle crew, including a morale-lifting accordionist:

Finally, I have Princess Tatiana, a limited-edition reward mini for customers who spend at least $50 (before the added S&H):

I have only fifty copies of her, and the only way there will ever be more is if I should attend a show or convention, in which case I reserve the right to cast some extras for the show. However, because I've never done this before, and because I live in the boonies, it's probably a safe assumption that there will be only the current fifty copies.
You'll find these wonderful flights of fancy at the Hinterland website:

Thanks for your interest and feedback.

While not my interest, I am tempted to get some for use in Wild West games. Do only the mounted figures have separate heads?
-
cracking stuff, as usual
the lady with the binoculars can't be doing anything else than taking a peek out of a hatch - do we have to expect vehicles?
-
I NEED that accordion player...

Yeah, only one mounted pack has separate heads.

I've attempted to stir up some interest in a vehicle, but haven't yet made it come about. We'll see....
-
Looking good. Hope the princess is still available when I have money for this again. :)
-
Excellent additions to the catalogue.
The vehicle crew are all great, but the accordian player is truly wonderful.
And that robot tickles me, I have to admit.
:-* :-*

The Autohusaren looks great (well so does the rest as well) and I think I have to get me some.
-
I wasn't expecting to see Tatiana ;)
Nice little bonus, considering I was planning to order immediately anyway!
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do the concept art for the Hinterland robot. It was a lot of fun, and I think Paul did a fantastic job matching the artwork. :D

Just put a small order in (the vehicle crew with accordionist is a must) to add to the Jesmond and District Ladies Militia

That accordianist is proving pretty popular. Ironically, she was among my very first list of ideas when I started up Hinterland, and I've only finally gotten around to her now. It's hard to find ways to work in peripheral "flavor" miniatures.
-
why not some sort of recruitment band?
-
Just made an order, so here's hoping that Tatiana still is available.
-
I first saw Hinterland figures at a VBCW game at last year's Smoggycon and they were very nice indeed. Some more Victorian themed figures would be great (the camel train looks fantastic).
-
Curse those plastic historicals that drained my discretionary funds and deprived me of the ability to order.
-
Very nice Jason and Paul. I've ordered my first packs which hopefully will see some paint later this year.
Cheers,
Helen

Just put in my order too :)
-
Excellent! Great additions to your line. :-*
-
Got my order today,
Princess Viktoria - On Foot
Autohusaren
Trench Raiders - Lancer, Unit Builder
Princess Cecilie - Mounted
Tatiana
Casting is bloody well close to perfect with no flash at all. I'm very impressed. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Thanks for the positive feedback, Nils. :)

When might the Autohusaren be back in stock, any one have the scoop?
-
Saw the pics, especially the crew figures, and the accordion player inspired me to order. Except, being an idiot, I managed to forget to order the cew set!
Ah well, I will send another order in next payday!

According to my caster, he should get the Autohusaren into the mail today, which means that it should be available by the weekend, or Monday at the latest.
-
Anyone the Uk doing an order? I fancy the ladies on 'ships of the desert' but can't justify the $50 plus UK piping to get Tatiana!
-
A re-stock of Autohussaren arrived today, so they are officially available again:

Some other stock is low, but more should arrive before it becomes an issue. Unfortunately, I have only about five Tatiana remaining.

Ordered Sunday, received Wednesday. That's faster than paypal can 'credit' my account for the next wave!
Everything came through nicely. Now I just need to paint them.
-
Hi everyone really pleased with the response to the Autohussaren! The most difficult commission so far. Thanks Jason for being patient.

You did a great job with it though :)

Another great release from Hinterland!

Agreed! Now can anyone tell me, the pom-pom gun comes with a piece that looks like a pickaxe. Is that what it's supposed to be or is it some integral piece to the gun that I just can't sort out?

It is indeed an integral piece. It fits onto the back of the gun, and is tucked under the arm when firing so to absorb some recoil and hold the gun steady. You can see that the gunner has this piece tucked under her arm.

I thought I would add a note to say I recently ordered some Hinterland miniatures for the first time. The quality of the miniatures was only exceeded by the excellent customer service.
Highly recommended and I will certainly buy more in the future.

Indeed! I'm so glad Jason is continuing to expand his awesome line of figures.
