Title: Blood Bowl pitch - swamp/muddy surface
Post by: Christian on 12 July 2013, 02:38:55 PM
Hi guys,

I put this board together as a prize for Eucalyptus Bowl, which is one of the biggest Blood Bowl tournaments in Australia.

Take a look (you can see the full size image by going to the source):

The "rooms" on either end are where players keep the reserve, injured and knocked out players during the game. On either side is also a score tracker (numerals) and an area to put re-roll dice, counters etc.

I will soon be building a pitch for the Southern Shrike Bowl. Again, this will be different to the two previous boards I have posted. It will be a desert theme with some fallen columns strewn about. Should be interesting to see how on earth I can make it playable.

Enjoy!

Maybe for the columns on your next one, just make them of a very low relief?

Thanks, chaps!

@Fram: I will definitely consider it. I am not sure if you're concerned about the storage of the board but the goal posts can actually be removed completely. Here's a better picture of one of my old efforts. It shows the insert I made for the posts a lot better:

On ya, beefcake! Can't wait to see it!

I didn't mean the goalposts. I was talking abut how you mentioned that you wanted some "fallen columns strewn about", but were wondering if that would make the board unplayable. In my mind I understood this to mean ruins and the like. So you could make those so that they're almost buried (such that a figure can still stand on them).

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay, now I understand. And a good point you made, too. Sorry, I had just woken up when I read the post :)
