Title: Marine Aviators?
Post by: marianas_gamer on 16 July 2013, 01:11:12 AM
Does anyone do a quality 28mm mini of US Marine or Naval aviators in flight suits?  I was hoping that Empress might but apparently not.

Hasegawa does modern ones in 1/48, a few kits.
I don't know though how well they fit. If the heads are large enough (or the helmets), a bit of leg and arm trimming should do the job.
If You need seated ones it will do the job anyway

The only downed airecrew I can think of for this period are these

and

Not sure if this is any use to you as these seem to be helicopter crew.

any good?

Dadi i Piombo do a downed pilot figure waeringa  flightsuit and weilding a pistol . I have one and it's a rather nice sculpt:

I also modified a couple of the pistol and  MP-5 weilding Eureka Swat figures with some flight helmets to produce some downed helicopter crew. The clothing looks suitably Nomex flight suit like but they are wearing flak vests.
