Few areas of London have become as infamous as Whitechapel over the past few years. The series of grisly murders carried out by the so-called 'Jack the Ripper' held the populace of that district in a miasma of terror.
With the Police apparently powerless to do anything to stop the depredations of this merciless killer the local men and women decided to take it upon themselves to defend their families, friends and neighbours. Under the leadership of a former Methodist minister, 'Brimstone' Bill, they formed a Vigilance Committee and set patrols to scour the streets at night.
This completely new company can be found in the Bonus Materials section of the IHMN blog: http://inhermajestysname.wordpress.com/additional-material/

That's a nice company list with a good background story. I was thinking of doing something along these lines (with the same company name!) :)
-
Nice company, I think I will battle them with my Kentish Men.

So don't let me stop you. It's always interesting to see different people's interpretations of the same theme.
This is very much a 'narrative' company, i.e. one based on a story, rather than a heavy-duty combat-ready force.

Once I finish the last elements of my Scotland Yard company (i.e. the transport pool) I'll be moving on to another narrative company - the Porterhouse School Cadet Force. This will be based on Woodbine's armed schoolboys. They will be good in a firefight but (mostly) fragile in close combat. Their real advantage will be speed (company made up of lightly equipped 6th form Rugby types). This company will allow me to play around with some interesting and quirky characters too.

A chuffingly brilliant theme you have there Reverend Bullshot. I must go a sniff out my copy of the film 'If' starring Malcolm McDowell :D

And also the Doctor Who episode where the schoolboys fight the scarecrows (on which the Woodbine figures appear to be based).

I already have two companies down, and a handful of other ideas for what to do next. Please stop coming up with more good ideas! ;)

Two companies done and I'm just about to order the figures for " The Little Minching Village Presrvation Society" - beware the Morris Men!

From Woodbine perchance?
-
Bag open, cat running everywhere. ;D
Yes I'll be going with the Woodbine ones as I can't find models with the correct uniform for the Handsworth Sword Dancers (see my avatar pic). And the Woodbine ones are characterful :)
Now I just need a rule for the dance itself as it needs to incorporate the musician and should be some form of synchronised attack!

Give the musician an appropriate mystic talent that increases the FV for any Mob attack within earshot?
Maybe also consider:
Giving the leaser of the troupe a fistful of mystic talents
Providing some appropriate supernatural support - green man or somesuch

Bullshot that's exactly the route I was going down, something along the lines of erudite wit however it gives an FV bonus to the Morris Men when there are at least two in the same combat. after all its not much of a dance if it's one on his own.
I like the mystic idea for the leader, something suitably folksy I think.
