Title: Beware The Mighty Jackalope!
Post by: OLeary on 22 July 2013, 02:12:08 PM
I painted up these little Jackalopes from Reaper and based them on the lid of a pint of milk.  They're about 10mm, and had loads of character. Quite fun to do.

The mushrooms are by our own  DeafNala.

These are not BONES figures, they are metal miniatures.

VERY COOL! Jackalopes are a part of the local Folk Lore here in the Hill Country...considering the profusion of funny plants & the amount of beer consumed, they seem quite plausible. That aside the Little Critters painted up SPLENDIDLY; & the base is OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE!

I didn't know they were a real legend until someone mentioned it in my comments. Everybody but me seemed to know :D :D
Your mushrooms were the perfect place to tuck these little guys under methinks :D

Very cute, excellent painting.

Thank you!

Nice little jackalope base. But...  :o did you paint this birch litter

The leaves are from Secret Weapon and those bits of bark came out of the package as you see them. The flowers came from Scenic Express. The rest of the base was done in ballast. I painted that and I painted the rocks. And the Jackalopes :D :D :D

Lovely little diorama, delightful even.
The Jackalopes seem very protective of their shrooms.

Sorry for the late reply...I seem to be late much more often of late. I'm delighted the Mushrooms found such a charming place to live...more are available if needed.
