Post by: Alan maguire on 22 July 2013, 07:58:24 PM
Hi Everybody,

Would a 28mm figure thats been sculpted with Magic Sculpt/sculp be strong enough to go through the vulcaniseing process? will it stand up to the pressure and the heat???

I thought it would since milliput is also used.

There are some sculptors out there who design their minis with Magic Sculp. But they could as well cast their master minis in resin with room temperature curing silicone moulds. I have heard they sometimes do that with the less stable putties.

Yes you can vulcanize it.   I have done it, and also use aves apoxie.
I tend to mix kneadatite or procreate with apoxie or magic sculpt to give it some flex as it can crack off on the finer details.
