I have started to get some pictures to add to my scenario book. I am not a great photographer and am looking for help. I took some sample snaps last night and just posted them to my blog.

Anyway, I am looking for some comments and criticisms to improve what I am doing. I am using a tripod with the digital camera. But other than turning the lens thing to make it closer or far away and the button to take the picture, I don't have a clue what I am doing.
Thanks.

Chris I applaud your efforts however I'm in exactly the same boat when it comes to cameras. However if you head on over to this blog http://troubleatthemill.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 he has a few articles covering photography for wargaming. Could help.
I'll keep an eye on your progress. Good stuff.

I have been e-mailing Mike directly and he has been very helpful.

Mike can be like that, decent bloke with a healthy dose of gaming and modelling enthusiasm ;)
Good luck with the photography

Thanks. I think I am improving. I will not be entering any art contests but the results seem passable.

Here are a couple of my more recent efforts. Getting any better?

I like the first one however the others have depth of field issues in that the figures off in the distance are too blurred. I'm sure Mike did an article on how to fix that, something like Fstop or ISO or something.
However the quality of image is good though.
