Here is a work in progress shot of my Flying polyp Sculpt for the Rafm's indiegogo Campaign.

Its not much at the moment, only the bottom half started so far.
What do you think?

hah thats great...its looking pretty similar to a wip version of a flying polyp i have done and thats stuck in greenstuff lombo for some time now
i really love how the teeth look on this one
-
VERY cool !
-
Looks like a very good start. I kind of like the mouthes with outward-pointed teeth on the concept drawing. Will you add some later?
-
Thanks,
There's still a lot to do...

I'm going to try, but I'm not sure how well they would cast up. Its supposed to be sculpted in one piece. I'll see if I am allowed to make the large mouth and the outward point mouth on the side removable :)
cheers

I hope the casting will allow for this, that would be cool. You said one piece? No tentacles? Come one, everyone love tentacles!
Anyway, I'll add this baby to my pledge very soon (paycheck expected in 3-4 days).

Yeah, There will be tentacles :-*
Sorry I should of said that the body is one piece, but I have just got permission to make the spiky mouth on the side and the large mouths teeth separate ;)
Thanks

Great! I'm sure these spiky mouths will make it more menacing. And for the tentacles, since you have shown in the past a very twisted imagination (in a good way) tor this kind of appendages, I'm confident they'll come out as monstrously as they should ;D

looks promising! always good to see my most fave mythos creature in miniature form. Not enough polyps out there.
-
Thanks Everyone :)
Quick update on the sculpt, still got loads to do. I'll post some better pictures when I get the chance.
What do you think so far?

Another W.I.P shot,,
The top teeth are removable and there still some work needed inside and around the mouth :)
What do think so far?

I'm very happy to see these teeth (maybe the top ones could be a tad shorter and more numerous, but that's just me), and the general evolution of the figure. What kind of texture do you plan to have for the skin? Scales, wrinkles, bubbles, cracks, veins, and whatnot?
I'm also wondering if it would be possible to have one or more of the side mouthes in open position?
Very promising, and I'm sure a few tentacles would nicely compliment the figure.

Thanks :),
I think they want the skin texture left smooth, but i could ad some more wrinkles ;)
thanks

Smooth skin is ok, but maybe a few veins or wrinkles might help the painters to pick some interesting details. Let's here what other people may think about it. ???
-
Nearly finished, just got to do a bit detailing on the tentacles :)
What do you think so far?

I think it has the right feel to it.
-
Very good!
-
Looks fanastic!
-
Fantastic work.
-
WOW!!! I like it! In fact that is what was under the bed! :-* :-* :-* :-* :o :o :o :o
-
Impresive.
Many eyes to see more people lol
-
Figured I'd show off a WIP so those painting will have a few ideas. The resin body make is *much* easier to fit the metal pieces into the holes. The eyes didn't turn out as well as I'd like, but, given my skill set, I'm getting somewhere. Anyway, more WIP on the GreenEyeGames site: http://greeneyegames.com/community/topic/rafm-cthulhu-miniatures/

Looks great :-*

That looks great!
Can you post that on the RAFM Forum? Please.
-
Whoops!
Here's RAFM's painting forum. I've posted some RAFM Cthulhu mini's I've painted, but other RAFM figures are there as well: http://rafm.com/phpbb3/viewforum.php?f=11
EDIT: Painted to tabletop. Too many other miniatures I need to paint! :D Larger pics in the linked RAFM forum.
