I am pleased to announce The British Lead Adventure Meeting (BLAM) 2013 will be on 1st-3rd November 2013 at Bishop David Brown school in Sheerwater, Woking, Surrey.
You may have seen threads from previous BLAMs showing some of the wonderful games we have played. If you want a reminder take a look at these:

It is a great opportunity to meet up with fellow LAFers and enjoy a weekend of gaming, drinking, eating and lots of fellowship.
If you would like to know more about the event and would like to join us for a day, the whole weekend, play some games or even run a game drop me a PM for more details.
-
Can I join :D
cheers
James

Woking you say, hmmmm
I think I might manage to saddle up the camel and head down, especially since my work has an office I visit there too.... Hehee!
PM sent!
-
Hi there,
do you have trade stands, if so, I would like to attend, otherwise, I can run a game of something
Matt

Sorry no trade stands. Just gaming. Drop me a PM.

The company I used to work for also had offices in Woking and I was there quite regularly. That would have been a nice set up, getting all my travel costs to BLAM paid for! As it is I'm still pretty tempted :)
-
Good luck guys but keep an eye out for those pesky martian tripods lol
Glej
-
I have long service coming up then, too many responsibilities at home though...So very tempting.
-
One day Guy! ;)
Just to note, airport lifts can probably be arranged for anyone thinking of flying in for the weekend.
No need to be shy - it's a great chance to meet other LAFers and put faces to forum names. The standard of presentation of games (as you'd expect from a LAF event), is universally brilliant, and a good time is generally had by all, with lots of great and varied games on show. Typically, we've had around 20 different games on offer across the course of three days, usually with 25 - 30 participants picking and choosing the ones that appeal to them the most. It's very informal, very flexible, and there's no obligation to attend for the whole thing. Pop down (or up!) for a day if you can.
Please pm Malamute if you're interested in coming along.
-
And there's beer!!!
:D
cheers
James

Hey Guys, Mason put me on to this and it looks great. I've just had my firstborn turn up(!) :D and I'm busy with KS commitments and commissions starting up again in a couple weeks otherwise I'd love to have put a game together. Also it's my 30th that week but I'd love to attend if only for a day. Hope to be able to contribute nonetheless. 8)

Hi Andrew,
No need to worry about bringing a game or contributing.anything, just come along and enjoy yourself. There will be plenty of games to join in with and besides Bibbly is bringing beer ;) :)

LAF Lanistas Malamute and Jimbibbly drinking coco and playing BotS in the pub. Just behind Malamute and out of shot are two attractive ladies showing considerable interest in the proceedings and obviously gagging for it (a game of Perudo that is).
-
My gawd..... It's an optical illusion ..... You're both the same size!!!!! lol
Ladies! Really? Gagging for it?! With a sophisticated and silky smoooooth southerner and a hunk of the hunkiest northern brawn in their sights, I am surprised they weren't already perched on your laps. :D
Who took the photo? Name and shame please!
-
lol lol lol
Now that is priceless! I reckon in Australia I might need a real gladius handy if I tried playing with my toys in such a public and blokey place as my local.
10 points for balls boys!
-
My gawd..... It's an optical illusion ..... You're both the same size!!!!! lol
Dont be fooled, it is obviously some form of camera trickery.
Bibbles is actually sitting at another table some distance away!
;)
-
lol like a reverse of the old forced perspective trick used in The Lord of The Rings films.

Of course, the two 'attractive ladies' could have been an optical illusion brought on by the consumption of too much cocoa.
Or CGI.....
-
Very brave...I assume you weren't in Kingston's town centre?

-

No, it's in Teddington, a pub called the Clockhouse. It's just up from the Curry house we went to a couple of years back at the last BLAM in Twickenham.
-
Just realised how much you remind me Nick of a very funny Aussie comedian named Paul Livingston...

You haven't got a long lost Aussie brother by any chance?

The second picture looks like Baldric
-
Sorry Frank, no Aussie relatives I know of. Of course back in the day they may have been shipped to Oz in chains and the family kept it quiet ;) lol
