Title: Wargaming Nineteenth Century Europe - two AARs
Post by: tim in saskatoon on 28 July 2013, 09:03:58 PM
I'ver been over to my friend John's house twice this past month to play a couple games of Wargaming Nineteenth Century Europe (by Neil Thomas) with his 40mm 1850-ish "toy soldiers". Both engagements saw Austrians and Russians fighting in Galicia.

All the figures were modelled, moulded, cast, and painted by John.

Full reports with lots of pictures can be found on my blog. The first game is here:

The second battle can be found here:

Here are a few pictures of the action (more on the blog)...

Ah, like a fine brandy, old school figures and simple rules. You should have done the pix in black and white for extra effect.

The figures look great. I use Neil's Napoleonic rules but have a hankering for the mid 19th C too.

Thanks for sharing.

Thats all rather spiffing, NT's 19thC rules are great, have used them for the 1st Carlist War.
