While searching on-line, came across this great old Robert E. Howard short story about the siege of Vienna.  Real swashbuckling adventure with some great ideas here for scenarios.  Short read, and I recommend it to those who like shot and pike.   http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Shadow_of_the_Vulture

I love Robert E. Howard's historical novels. If you can get the compilation, "Sowers of Thunder", it is a great one...
