I have just finished basing a steam tank I've painted for my mate Fritzy.
It needs a pilot and a little weathering ( I'll ceck with Fritzy to see how "dirty" he wants it to be!!)
I chose a nice neutral colour scheme with a few home-made decals.

I've quite enjoyed doing this and have ordered some bits for myself. :D

Thats a very nice take on that model. A more unusual scheme to what we normally see.
I particularly like Brittania and the laurels on the front plate. Your imagination is to be highly commended sir.
And Fritzy - I think it looks just right already, thats a very talented mate you have
-
Looks great to me Fritzy. if you add more weathering there is the danger you will detract from the excellent Britannia.
-
Gorgeous! :o
-
Very Nice!

Wow, very nice - grand choice of colours, the decals are brilliant, and the weathering is already perfect. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Excellent work. If that was mine it would be nurtured in reserve and protected from all those 'orrible bullets.

:-* :-* :-* That looks amazing mate, even better than when I saw it on Saturday. I think we got the choice of colour just right ( close to the colour of the stained helmets they used to wear). Now you've set me the impossible task of trying to paint my others up like this one, I'll just cover my other steam tanks in miniature dust sheets, cut a slot here and there to see and fire out of and field them like that.
I'm now torn between actually using it on the battle field or building a scale building along the lines of the Crystal Palace and have it sat in there safe and sound. Bit like a victorian Bovington lol
Cheers

A few years back more like 7 when I still played a games set some were in the year 40,000. I had the petoran guard mins and I painted up my tanks in a simuler style, but, they in know way mach yours for skill and style.
Vary impresed :)

Oooh, now thats rather nice :-* ;D :)
Your Country needs you Pappa Midnight and Fritzy
Men like you need to rally to the cause and help stem this Prussian invasion spearheaded by that turncoat Sir Henry Bullshott lol
I believe it imperative to the cause that you both journey to London to engage the enemy at one of our future skirmishes/battles, preferably bringing along some more of these beautifully painted machines :)

Mmmmmm.... Ironmongery.... *drools*

Thank you all for the kind comments! :D
It's my first dabble with VSF stuff and I think that the bug has bitten! I Picked up a copy of the very cool "Valor, Steel and Flesh" rules by Parroom Station and I am thinking of doing some Russians complete with Czar in his personal Assault Walker! It's either that or a renegade group of scientists bent on World domination.......
Fritzy; I had a few reservations about the colour ( a cream coloured tank..?) but you were bang on with your choice! Glad you like it mate, I'll see if I can pick you up a driver/commander figure this week.
Malamute; ......ah, I do believe Fritzy is intending to do some Prussians led by the infamous "Fritz Von Bakerheim" and his "Trundling Circus" so Sir Henry Bullshot may have some re-inforcements to his dastardly army!!!
Thanks again for the comments!

Ohh Lordy, thats all we need another Prussian sympathiser. lol
Good luck with your Russian idea. It sounds very cool, I am sure given what you have done with Weird War 11, anything you designa nd build with VSF in mind will look stunning. Can't wait to see progress reports and photos ;D
-
Good to see there are more Prussian reinforcements coming.
Russians too! I must get back to my Russians soon - but they may be delayed by the army of the Grand Turk (since Nickinsomerset's Greeks will need some opposition). I spent lunchtime at work today sketching out
a design for an armoured steam 'elephant' ....

The slope is slippery, but fun!

Good to see there are more Prussian reinforcements coming.
Not even slightly intimidated.
Malamute & Thunderchicken Industries are turning out British reinforcements and armour at a furious rate. Okay, furious might be a slight exaggeration. Being British the furious rate is accompanied by numerous tea breaks, early finishes on a Friday (dress down day too), an overtime ban, lots of bank holidays and the ubiquitous cucumber sandwiches. :)

Dress down day Certainly not! What the deuce is the world coming too? We will continue to wear our starched collars and ties, thick wool trousers, serge tunics and the obvious top hat even though the temperature here in Blighty has topped a balmy 24 degrees C in the last few days... lol

Righto. Get the kettle on............

I believe it's one of Ironclads models.

Hi,
You're right it is one from Ironclad miniatures, and they are excellent quality. They don't need cleaning up and I've had really clean casts( no air bubbles) and they paint up well, When done by an expert. I'm building a garage for this one as we speak.
Cheers
