Title: 15mm Tool Bots
Post by: OLeary on August 17, 2013, 07:15:52 PM
I posted one of these little guys on the PPC, but it seemed silly to take up more slots posting each one separately. This is the three of them as a team.

These are from Reaper, are metal mini's and were sculpted by Bob Ridolfi.

Nicely painted. Made me think of Bruce Dern and Silent Running.

Paintjobs are spiffy but I can´t get over the base (as in I really don't like it). What effect were you aiming at?

I know the bases are horrid and I can't stand them either.  I hoped they would turn out looking like they were floating on little silver discs, but that just didn't happen. I was pressed for time as I had competition pieces I was working on at the same time.  I got to that point where I just said "I don't care anymore. I'm done." One day I'll look back on these and say "I can't believe I posted these!"

Plastic shields make excellent floaty-discs.
