Title: Airlock Games: Counterblast
Post by: tnjrp on 21 August 2013, 08:30:13 AM: Airlock Games, which appears to be the game design arm of the possibly better known Bombshell Miniatures (specialists in "iconic" female minis) has published the first preview of their upcoming Counterblast Adventure Battle Game rulebook. No actual rules yet but a bit of background fluff on the universe, the factions etc. and an overview of the miniature game play. Like Sol'Una and Thon, it will also feature a RPG component eventually. Looks to be a bit of trend, that.

Silly as its name is ("Mekkus" is sounds like something out of Monty Python), the droid faction appears to contain possibilities for some interesting miniatures. The female Lancer looks surprisingly toned down (AKA not overtly "iconic") too. Prolly not going to be profitable to get them from AG's upcoming KS tho (due to p&p + customs fees) tho, but still.

Post by: Airlock Games on 27 February 2014, 11:29:18 AM: All of the models are sculpted by hand except for the Mekkus which will be printed from the 3D files and cast in metal. All of the figures, including the digital ones, have been sculpted by me. I am also working in the role of art direction for the brand.

Brett and I are working on a totally new gameplay demo that details the turn sequence and gameplay mechanics that will be posted shortly. I will add the link here once it is ready.
