I just found these free game rules over at Eureka. I have not heard of them before and they are a quite fine match with some of the recent darling little releases from Pulp Figures, Eureka and others.

A bagatelle game, to be sure, but I like having a go at at least one game such as this on gaming meets.
By the way, isn't this new miniature just the shit...?!

Now there's a famous talkie queen
She looks a flapper on the screen
She's more like eightie than eighteen
When I'm cleanin' windows
She pulls her hair all down behind
Then pulls down her... never mind
And after that pulls down the blind
When I'm cleanin' windows

They put on a demo of this game a few years ago at Melbourne Little Wars. It looked great. The board was about 2' x 3' with a small set from a famous movie in each corner. The one I most remember was a yellow brick road set from the Wizard of Oz.
BTW, Nic @ Eureka is a big fan of George Formby.

IIRC the Formby figure has been out for some time? I have had the film crew for some time but a different maker, I think. I did pick up the woman stepping in/out of the bath with the dirty old git on my last visit to Nic's shop. I always buy far more than I intend when I visit but forget half of what I intended to buy (distracted by the shiny toys). lol

It's a nice piece. :-*
When Nic at Eureka casts this model, does he say "Turned out nice, again," when he empties the mold? ;)

I can't find references to it when entering the website the 'normal' way... how does one get the cards mentioned?

I picked the George up a couple of months ago. Lovely mini.

Do you mean the Pulp Alley cards ?

Nope, Cast of a Thousands rules mention an Opportunity Deck, but I didn't read the rules thoroughly enough; it seems that you make it yourself according to the extras minis you use for the game :)

Very much enjoyed reading the rules. It seems to be a self-made card deck based on the miniatures you have in play. They recommend at least 2 matinee idols or extras per player. The more, the better. This means:
If you are two players you should put at least Frankenstein´s monster and the mummy plus a mob and some cops on the table. First two are idols, latter are extras - 4 opportunity cards - that simple.
