There are supposed to look like they are in Marpat jungle camouflage-
I would welcome any constructive comments- I am not a button-counter, but I want them to look nice.

Nice work Rob!

Look good. I'd go over them one more tie with one of the lighter colours and straighten some of the edges of the dark patches - they seem a little too round for me.
-
They look good to me mate. Nice job!
-
They look fine to me. :)
Don't forget that in the exploded views you get on here every flaw or blemish is magnified and stuff that looks fantastic on the table can look not so good on here. All depends what's more important to you, playing with your toys or being sat there with a micro paint brush and a magnifying head set with several layers of lenses (at least that's how I imagine some of the guys on here pull off some of their paint jobs anyway).
;)

Yeah - I may have come across as a little harsh. It was not my intention - they look really good.
I agree with Arlequín, I've just measured the photo to a 28mm viking I have here on my desk. It's 3.3 times bigger!

Lovely figures well painted. 8)

I think its fine, too. Camouflage is tricky as every painter wants so show the pattern as it looks up close, but that can't be right, as original blotches are smaller.
What I'd do is paint their faces, as you have them for jungle setting, but I suppose I said that because that's what I wanted to do for so, so long :D

My version of same, nicked from the Eureka website who took the snaps.
I suppose I really should take some photos of the same models painted up as the Batalhão Tonelero, the Brazilian marines' SF battalion.

I think these miniatures look swell.

Thanks for the feed back.
I do like my figures to look at least something like the real world counter parts they are supposed to represent, but I also want my life to be easy and stress free, so I think iwillgowith this colour scheme.
Von Lucky, btw I didn't think your comments were harsh. I did ask for your constructive comments, and I had wondered about the black myself. I think your critique was fair.
Carlos, I love yours! They look serious. I didn't go for the cammo face paint as I thought the flesh would add more contrast, even if its not very realistic.
O e again, thanks to you all for your comments and advice.

Christmas...those figures are pretty nice! I hadn't seen them till now. I think the paintjob looks great. It's nearly impossible to paint any kind of accurate camo on a 28mm miniature (especially given our preponderances of increasingly small-pattern camo). As long as the colour appearance works from 1-2' away, I'd say you're golden! Great figs and great paint work.

Being prior military n having worked with both recon n seal team they r in my view the best on the market for this time period. I was going to hey the eureka recon n use them for non crw guys. Although a few funnies I know would be upset they look great from a former diver

20 years ago I wore woodland BDUs (dang, I'm getting old!) and I'm used to how they look.
I found that, for minis, unless the guy is supposed to be wet, try making the colors a bit lighter than the real thing. Mix some gray into the black, make the dark brown a little lighter, the green, too, mix with some khaki. Imagine they went through the wash a few times and aren't color-fast dyes.
You'll see more detail, too.
That being said, I think you did a fine job!

Really nice minis !
