I am relatively new to World War II painting and I am wondering what vallejo colours do you suggest for highlighting and shading #70921, English uniform. Thanks for the help!
-
I shade with German Medium Brown and highlight with Vallejo Panzer Aces British Tankcrew.
-
I like English Uniform with just a touch of Iraqi Sand.

This is what I do too but sometimes I use similar pots just for a bit of variation
-
I'd tend to shade by adding a little bit of black to English uniform and add a little Foundry canvas (yellowy/white) to highlight.
-
Straight VJ Khaki is a good highlight for English Uniform.

Same here. Just painted up my first mini in the same way. For shade I just used English uni with a little touch of black in it.

I used Brit Uniform, then a mix of Brit Uniform and Khaki and then just Khaki.
Here's a snap:
Please note, the chap who wanted the commission (*Wargames Standard*) doing wanted the early war webbing- ie not my mistake!! :D

Thanks everybody! I am spoiled for a choice now... I guess I will try them all and let you know ;)

Be careful though with mixing with Iraqi sand. I have the feeling with my chap that the highlight is a bit too bright.
I'll see to take a pic or 2 and post it here tonight.
Pictures. Meet Colonel Piron. CO of the free Belgian forces Brigade Piron. Need to give him a dullcoat varnish and finish his base of course. But as I said, might be a tad too bright:

I don't know however how I can make this picture smaller...
