Title: (Army Painters) Union infantry (Perry Miniatures ACW)
Post by: General Lee on 29 August 2013, 11:04:53 PM
finished two units of Union ACW infantry tonight. the usual recipe, mostly base colors and Dark Tone dip bsushed on. The dip is less effective on dark uniforms such a these (obviously) but overall, it looks all right

They have come together nicely. I'm just about to dip brush some union myself - I find some touch up is required anyway, but this conflict lends itself to weathering the infantry.

They look just fine to me, sir.
I think that battalians en masse in this period should look just fine with a dip.
It is the massed rans effect that carries the day.
The flags help too.

Nice work, I like seeing troops massing up like that. Feels good getting them painted, doesn't it?
