A project thats been on the back burner for a while. Lots of Victrix scrap with Perry parts. Lots of Green Stuff for the blankets. I wanted to get a feel of cold and wind in them, animation was the aim. 24 figure set
Individually based, I ummed and arred over the basing, 'Snow' or what. Used a paste mix to show well trodden snow and slush.
I hope they look sufficiently cold, wind swept, hungry and defeated.
Hard to get colour and cold dirty desolation all in 1 go

Awesome! :-* Thanks for sharing!

:-* :-* :-* :-* :-*Inspiring work. Do you have any of the 'build' pictures so we can see how you did things???
-
Amazing paint job.

Ashamed to say no build pictures, they were started sooo long ago. Lost track of it all.

Cracking work :-* :-* :-*

Some very nice figures there, my favourite has to be the drummer with his hand up to protect his face from the biting wind, a very natural pose.
-
Those are incredible! Possibly some of the best painted figures I have ever seen! :-* :-*
-
Excellent modeling, painting and basing,I feel cold just looking at them.
-
I got so cold looking at them I just lit the fire.

BRRRR!! >:( >:( >:(
These look amazing. Well done. :-*
I find it hard enough just to paint a unit, let alone worry about the elements and conditions the poor sods are facing.
-
Excellent work!

Delicious! I keep looking at the Perry 'Retreat...' stuff and thunking a skirmish game using 'A Song of Drums and Shakos' would be great fun. However, I have no Winter scenery...

This is mind bogglingly brilliant. I love it. (sorry, nothing constructive, just praise).

They look fantastic :-*. It makes you want to go put a heater on.
-
simply stunning
-
Very nice indeed :)
-
Incredible, you've captured the essence of the moment beautifully. Made all the more impressive that the figures are converted from "temperate" plastic sculpts!
Truly top hole, sir!
Cheers
Iain.

They are looking real good! No worse than the Perry offering!
