Another game with my friend Daniel handling the Rebel Alliance and me playing as the Empire. As always we ran a 100 point fight, this time we played the Dark Whispers scenario where the empire has to scan some satellite beacons and escape off the table with the information.
I ran a pure elite force with
Tie Fighters: Winged Gundard, Mauler Mithel, Backstabber
Tie Interceptors: Turr Phennir, Saber Squadron Pilot
Daniel ran a pure green force without a single character to max out the number of ships.
His force was made up of 2 X-wings, 2 A-wings and 1 Y-wing.
This was another very tense and exciting game, just like our previous game with the senator shuttle (which was played the same day) and was won with the slimmest of margins! You can read more about it and check out more pictures over at myblog:

Wow, your Sabre Sqn managed to escape with 2 Criticals?
Elite pilots should have made mincemeat of those rookie Rebels. Line abreast is a really difficult formation for concentrating firepower and calculating manouvres that will keep you in formation without crashing into something. I used it unsuccessfully at the Nationals with my 4 A-Wings, until the last game when I switched to a box formation and wiped out my opponent.
