Title: Ronin 2560, Neo-Sengoku
Post by: Comsquare on 21 September 2013, 05:15:00 PM
After reading the rules and seeing all those great Ronin-projects lately I decided to begin with my own one.
Though in the beginning I was thinking about doing it in the proper period I decided after a while to go for an alternative look, using those lovely Urban War Triad minis I had for quite some time.

Right now I have 2 Buntai.

The Bushi

And the Koryu, which include an Shugyosha as well (the guy on the left).

Haven't done that much yet, as you can see.
The Shugyosha will get an rebreather-mask today and the Ashigaru Katanas, and there are 3 more minis on their way to strengthen both Buntai.
Will add some scenery as well.

Have decided posting that new project in the hope that it keeps me going on with it :)

Cheers

Cool idea. Are you going to use the tepo rules for the rifles or beef them up a bit?

Will use them for now the standard Teppo rules and maybe alter them after a while.
Also thought about using an Dark Eldar Mandrak (the new ones) as Ninja.

LOVE this idea! I really should come over to give you back your books some time, and get in a game or two while I'm there.  :)

Me too, Paul  ;)

Thanks :)
Will be near your place in the end of october, maybe we can arrange something.

You definitively should, Tim, and I'm not so far away anymore, I'm back in germany ;)

And here's a very small update.
The Shugyosha got his mask

Ok, here's a very small update  :)

First, the newest additions to the Buntai.
Hatamoto for the Bushi

And for the Koryu
(http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt196/Comsquare/DSC02391_zpsfa74ebd4.jpg) (http://s611.photobucket.com/user/Comsquare/media/DSC02391_zpsfa74ebd4.jpg.html)

Should raise their pointcosts to about 200.

Also added these 2 guys, left one as a missiongoal (think "Proctect the Daimyo" and so), the right one as Ninja.

Thanks for your interest, guys :)

Have you seen the Mishima figures?

cheers

James

Was thinking about them in the beginning, nice minis.
Not sure how they'll size up against the Urban War minis, guess they're leaner.
Would love to see a comparison.

Hope you'll be well soon again, James.
Have to get me some more stuff of yours ;)
