Title: ACW Scenario availible for Download - Pohick Church: August 18, 1861
Post by: cstoesen on 22 September 2013, 03:04:11 AM
I am offering another scenario to download from my blog.

The scenario is for the skirmish at Pohick Church - August 18, 1861. Pohick Church was the home church of George Washington. It became the site of several small skirmishes throughout the war. Unfortunately, the church was vandalized and ill used while under Union occupation during the war. The scenario is a cavalry action the will require close to 40 cavalry troops for each side.  The scenario is written for the Terrible Sharp Sword rules from TooFatLardies.  It is usable with a number of other skirmish sized rules such as Brother against Brother.  The scenario is being offered as shareware.  For more information, please take a look at my blog:

I just noticed a typo in the scenario.  If you had downloaded it before, i am so sorry.  Please grab the latest: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByQnHEtN0JwlVjBENlR4ZkNDOGs/edit?usp=sharing (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByQnHEtN0JwlVjBENlR4ZkNDOGs/edit?usp=sharing)

I accidentally swapped the Union and Confederate cards.

Chris,

Any plans to modify more of your stuff to Sharp Practice version 2?

I am currently working on an SP2 supplement for the War of Jenkin's Ear, concentrating on the battles in Georgia.  It also has naval scenarios for Kiss Me Hardy/To Covet Glory.

I have started and stopped a number of Civil War scenarios.  I really wanted to do a book on the battles around Atlanta since the battlefields are just a short car drive from my home.  I live really close to the site of the Battle of Jug Tavern. (Fortunately later city planners decided that Jug Tavern was a bad name for a town.) Garrard's Cavalry Raid is one that is interesting as it possibly had the only known use of the Athens double barreled cannon. This still can be found in Athens, Ga close to the UGA campus.

I also started and stopped a supplement on the Peninsular campaign.  All of these I may get back to work on at some point along with the WWII Third Battle of Kharkov campaign for Chain of Command.  At the moment the Jenkin's Ear supplement is priority (since it is complete - just needs playtesting and pictures).

As to retrofitting the current supplement.... Maybe.
