Title: FT-17 and Riff Raff
Post by: H.M.Stanley on 25 September 2013, 01:22:56 PM
Guys,

Marco at Riff Raff has kindly agreed to look into getting an FT-17 Light Tank for me to add to my Chinese Warlord as its difficult for those of us on the UK side of the pond to source.

It occurs to me that some of your guys may be interested too.

If so, could you register your interest on this thread and i'll direct Marco to LAF.

Oh and for the record, i'm paying for my tank, i'm not on commission but do think it would be a good way of thanking Marco for his trouble if more than one person orders.  :)

Thanks fellas

James

Has he named a price per tank?

Would definitely be interested can use them in so many inter-war wars.

Have you tried asking on the VBCW forum, could drum up some interest there.   :)

Hi Grant,

You can't get a 28mm model FT-17 light tank in the UK for love or money ...

My Lord Jerwood, no price as yet but will post as soon as i hear from Marco. Good idea to see if the VBCW (and SCW) guys are interested.

Cheers,

James

Result!!

An extract from a mail i've had from Marco. I've asked if he can post photos on here

[I have some good news for you.

I will be able to start selling some of the Force of Arms vehicles, from the Years of Turmoil 1919-1939 range, and will be updating my website hopefully a lot sooner than I had anticipated :)

The price for the FT17 will be £16-50 GBP (excluding postage).  There are two versions, one with round turret and the other with hex turret.  It's still a pretty good price for what is, in my opinion, one of the best models, of this tank, on the market :)]

Out of interest, what would be the best turret to use with my WL Chinese?

I have one. Nice model.

Old Glory has one, too, a bit bigger:

I saw one of these beauties at the Military Museum in Paris.

I was talking about buying (the model) to my partner yesterday and she asked how much it would cost. I said about £20. Her response "oh i thought you were after the real thing" and "you'd need a crane to get it over the roof"

No, "What, where, when, how??!!" I love this woman!!

[thinks about the possibility of a FT-17 in the back garden]

Hello gentlemen.  It's been a very long time since I've been here on LAF and hope to do this more often :)

As James has said, I can now sell some of the Force of Arms models from the Years of Turmoil range. I have updated my site for this and it includes the prices per tank/vehicle/artillery piece.  Just a point of note, the postage prices shown are for the UK and is per model.  If you'd like more than one please do email me first so that I can give you a proper cost for the postage as you may be able to get three or four for the same cost :)  For the rest of the world, please email me first as the postal charges will vary according to the size of your order and where it's going to :)

Thank you all for your interest and I hope to chat to you all again in the very near future :)

Sorry -- I knew North Star carries Brigade Games figs, but the vehicles aren't listed. But...you may be able to ask Nick to order one for you in his next Brigade Games order.

Old Glory UK has the FT-17:
