Title: Looking for a "Kevin Corcoran"
Post by: NickNascati on 29 September 2013, 02:30:35 PM
All,
Having gotten hooked on the BBCs "Copper" series set in Civil War era New York, I would like to find a suitable figure to represent "Corky"  to lead my NYPD company.  He would need to be a larger 28mm figure, essentially 28 - 29mm sole to eye. mAny suggestions? In case you are not familiar, here is a link.  "Corky" is the fellow in the center of the photo -

I should add that he should be pistol armed and in a somewhat active pose.

I would take a look at Brigade Games' Victorian Gangster range or The Virtual Armchair General's GONY range.

In addition, check out Perry Miniatures Civil War "Rioters with Firearms."  The third from the left in below picture might serve:

That figure would be pretty good, maybe cut off the club or whatever he is holding.  Only problem might be the size.  My collection is all Black Scorpion sized figures.

Look at the Inspector from West Winds Empire of the Dead range (I think the Kick-Starter is shipping out) on checking out a thread on the Gothic board the photo of the Inspector had me Googling images -small hat, waistcoat, pistol, -but not owning any Black Scorpion figs cannot compare the size (sorry)

Chantyman,  I think he would do pretty well.  West Wind however does not seem to understand how to measure figure height, I can't get an intelligent response from them!
