I'm a bit of a stickler for "in scale" appearance for my gaming figs, and I have to say that yes, Perry and North Star mix nicely on the table. The Perry are a tad bit more "heroic" than the North Star, but not to a horrible degree. Level of detail and crispness of sculpting are about the same, so you can paint up mixed Buntai and they'll look right at home. As a side note, I find that the Kensei minis also fit in pretty well, and I'd nominate them as best-in-show for dynamic posing. Also, Reaper's samurai are nicely done, but decidedly larger than Perry, Northstar or Kensei. Hope that helps.

As far as proportions and height are concerned, I would say North Star are kind of bang in the middle, so they'd probably go well with most.
Perrys of course are more delicate in their proportions (or 'Heroic' as WK says, with smaller heads in proportion), although about the same height-wise.
