Title: Ranges Sculpted by Paul Hicks??
Post by: NickNascati on October 15, 2013, 02:48:28 PM
All,
I am generally hesitant to mix manufacturer's ranges, but Paul does work for so many, that it is easy to find compatible figures to mix.  Does anyone know which companies/ranges are currently being done by Paul for the 1840 - 1930 period?

From the top of my head (just for the period mentioned)…

Bac Ninh – Boshin War
Brigade Games – Victorian (some, not all)
Brigade Games – Old West
Brigade Games – First World War (some, not all)
Brigade Games – 1920s "Mob Wars"
Empress – New Zealand Wars
Empress – Anglo-Zulu Wars
Empress – Spanish Civil War
Empress/Mutton Chop – Very British Civil War
Musketeer – First World War (some, not all)
Old Glory/Battle Honors – First World War (some, not all), Very British Civil War
Tsuba – Russo-Japanese War
Tsuba – German Revolution
Warlord/Radetsky – Crimean War

Surely some are missing here. Maybe ask Paul to respond himself. Just too prolific to keep track of, that man.

The only ones that immediately spring to mind as missing from Mad Doc's list are the Jazz Age Colonialism range by Empress.

There are the Hinterland ones too... unless you're talking strictly 'historical'?

Yeah, a list of all the ranges Mr Hicks sculpted (partly or completely) would be great (if not what the TO asked for). Would be interesting if we can surpass Paul's own count. ;D

Didn't he do some of the Mongrel Miniatures moderns range? The mercenaries look very much like Mr Hicks' work.

Well, there is Mutton Chop miniatures which is/was his personal range.

There was Arsenal Miniatures, but they were never released and are now picked up by Warlord Games.

There were several Crisis LE givaways too.

I had realised Mr Hicks was prolific, but had not realised how prolific. I was certainly suprised to find how much of the Brigade catalogue he was responsible for.
