Another piece of old ;) You may (or most probably not :P) remember my Alpha Lord on Palanquin (http://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2013/04/alpha-legion-lord-in-palanquin.html) (I mean this):

I decided to retrieve the original concept, so I repainted the minis
(http://i42.tinypic.com/2dtc4k3.jpg)
And with just a couple of pieces of foamboard built this:

I should set a couple of flags behind and some other stuff, but for the moment this is enough to ease the anxiety for having the diorama ;D.
I also painted these pretty old Mk.II and Mk.III Terminators

I'm looking for some Mk.I, but still haven't been lucky...

Cool! The good old days, when space marines were 5 ft 6 ;)
I nearly bought that set a load of times in my youth. Good work digging it up and putting it on show :)
The terminators are great too.

Great stuff, Suber!
I much prefer the new paintjob, resurrecting the original Mr Calgar.
:-* :-*
Nice work on the termies, too.
8)
I have a couple of the old ones too and was wondering whether to keep them or not.
You are pushing me towards keeping them for myself.
;)

Oddly that cloaked Mk6 fella is one of my favorite old sculpts. I always thought he'd make a cool-as-ice Space Marine commander. :`
-
Awesome stuff :-*
I do think the bases on the Terminators are too big though, but the models and paintjob is great!
-
I really love the original, it's RT as hell but appreciate what you've done with the redux. Love the termies, I'm not sure if I've got a MK111 but I do have a MK1!
....just need to find his banner pole.

Love it.
Calgar looks much better now.
The terminators look great too.

The cloak is on a stand mate so not actually a marine.
I've got this little set complete and another missing the marine body guard so just added a c100 first space marine, works perfectly.
I do think that your nice tidy paint job could do with a bit more time spent on the wall behind, hide the foamcore edge a little, maybe add some banners as you said.
Cheers

Holy crap - you're right. I'd only ever seen it in an old White Dwarf where it was behind the sitting marine, so I had thought it was a fancy advisor. I just glossed over the pictures here in the thread. Now I feel like an idiot. Still, a cloaked Mk6 beakie standing all stoic-like would have been a cool sculpt.
Man...I feel like my childhood has been ruined! lol

Like the re-paint on that 8)
I've got the set somewhere and have always fancied doing a diorama for it.
cheers

You are most welcome. ;D

Thanks everyone! I also like much more the new concept and repaint.

Hmmm, wait a minute, I'll just send you an address where you can send them :D
I do think the bases on the Terminators are too big though, but the models and paintjob is great!
I had some uneasy thoughts on that, but I finally decided to go for the big bases; they still need some work though, they are way too plain that way.

I'm sending you my address too! ;D

You are totally right, I still need to do some additional work on the whole display. I'm on other non-GW projects right now (my brain needs some oxigenation ::)), but I'll come back on this for sure :).

I had a squad of the MK I's. They were my favorite. Traded long ago. :-[
