November will see our lone zombie hunter Misty joined by seven new classmates from that last bastion of hope against the zombie apocalypse - St Searle's Foundation for Young Women.
Beautifully sculpted by Neil Mckenzie, we have three feral Fourth formers including 'scweamer' Violent Elizabeth and four Sixth Formers, such as hockey captain Jackie and new girl Dorothy. These should be in store from 01 November and hopefully with me at Crisis.
Here are some previews of the masters.
The whole class

Is a 'former' the equivalent of grade?
6 former = 6 grader?
because those skirts are mighty short for 6 graders.... :o
nice selection of poses/weaponry though!
Jackie has an awesome pose.
-
Yeah for all the non-british people out there, these are a homage to a series of british movies called St Trinains from the 60s and the awful remake... ;D
-
6th formers were usually aged 16-18ish (the Sixth Form, unlike the five that preceded it, actually covered two years, divided into lower and upper sixth). The count began at secondary school, so First Formers (or "First Years" as we called them in my day) would be 11 or 12.
The numbering system changed in the 90s and is more like the American one now, I think.
"Dorothy - a baseball wielding ace" - a-ha, the penny just dropped. Took me a while. What a dunce. lol
-
Brilliant. :D
I've been waiting for these. Now all I need is a school minibus so I can run a school outing. ;)

50's originally, based upon a cartoon.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Trinian's_School
Although I'm not old enough to have been around for any of the original movies releases I did see them as a kid when on on bank holidays etc and remember them being fun.
I really like the look of these. :D
-
Interestingly, most schools still call them 6th Form, VI Form, etc, even though they are also called Years 12 and 13. 8)
-
They''re pretty cool! I bet they'll be popular.

Add 'Just William' into the inspiration too with a certain scweaming young lady, who hopefully doesn't throw up! ;)
-
Just need a teddy boy spiv and the transgender headmistress!!
-
Brilliant stuff they look great. ;)
-
Completely brilliant! :-* Can I make another request for Flash 'Arry? :D
-
FLASH ARRY

-
Jesus those are good. I have no possible earthly use for them, but I think I will have to have them...
:)
-
EGAD!
George Cole is a long way from Minder... :?
Love the figures and I one day they will be mine. The only one I'm unsure about is the baseball bat girl. The bat seems a bit wrong. I would have thought a cricket bat or maybe a tennis racquet would have been more in keeping with the theme.
-
It is an homage to a specific character from yet another much-loved British institution, and the baseball bat was very much part of her schtick. Without it, she wouldn't be who she's meant to be. :)
-

I always thought the fella on the right in the 'GN3 The Candy Kid's Street Punks' pack would make a great Flash 'Arry...

Who's is she? I just googled baseball bat girl and all I got was extreme porn and crime reports :?

Dorothy Gale McShane.

They haven't even done the usual "not-" figure thing of changing the name. :)
-
No, it's a baseball bat. It says so in her description. Rounders bats are only about a foot long.
See the above discussion for the details of why she has a baseball bat. :)
-
Wow! These have buckets of character! :)
-
Dorothy Gale McShane.
Cheers Plynkes, bit before my time ;)
-
nice figures- I think I could find some shelf space for them.
-
It isn't me that is calling it a baseball bat. It is the people who sculpted it. Look at the original post.
"Ace" was Dorothy's nickname, and the name she generally went by.
I don't mean to be rude, but are you being deliberately obtuse and contrary? Because that is how you are coming across.

Here's a quick pic of the painted versions from Martin Buck:

These will be released in two packs of Savage Schoolgirls on Friday 01 November - and I will have packs with me at Crisis too.
-
Brilliant.
On the order list for sure. :D

Ooh! I think I found my first 'pre-convention' impulse buy.
-
I haven't got the foggiest what i could do with those figures* ... other than buy them. Lovely stuff.
As you say, just need the Greaser spiv and the Old Maid
*my default position is Pulp Alley on rules :)
-
Very nice sculpts.

Is there a missing part to this conversation?

lol
I thought the same thing...
It looks like some miscreant has been excised, and now Plynkes' ire makes no sense whatsoever...
Superb painting by Martin. Another triumph Karl.

Those are ace! :-*

Oh good, then I am not more confused than normal. I couldn't see what raised such a response...
Gracias,
Glenn

It was me being curmudgeonly, so I deleted the posts.
-
Easily done Gary. I have occasional curmudgeonly episodes myself. Although not, generally, where St Trinians is concerned ;)
-
It wasn't regarding St Trinians.
It was my dislike of another character and the size of rounders bats.
Most folks only play rounders in junior schools, but the adult bats are quite hefty.
We had them at high school although we usually played shinty - same length sticks but not as thick when they hit you.
-
Ok, going to do my best to get to Crisis and get better looking Ace. :o
-

Thanks from all the non-Brits lol and those of us still in elementary school in the 90s lol lol
