Hey folks!
I'm looking for examples of sculpted nets, preferably in 28mm (or 28mm-ish, 25mm-35mm). I'm having a figure sculpted, it's carrying a net, and I'd like to have some examples to show the sculptor.
Any suggestions?
Any tips or tricks from sculptors who have made nets in that scale? It's going to be carried in hand, so it'll be mostly bunched up and draped over the model's hands, if that helps.
Thanks!

How about thinking outside of the box? Have the figure sculpted with an empty hand and proved a square of gauze or something with each one that the buyer could use for the net? I would think the right type of gauze soaked in a brown tinted watered down white glue would make a great net and look fantastic compared to a sculpted one. You could provide a quick 'how to' pictorial on your website to show buyers how easy it is and how good it looks.

I wonder if you could make one out of window screen mesh.

Steve Blunt did a great one for Rogue minis:

It looked superb in the "green" form but I can't find a pic.

This works quite well, though it's rigid-nature means you have to work with it a bit,and often glue it to itself to keep its form etc.

Now that's a clever idea...

Dunno if it would work, but maybe you could soften up the mesh with pvc-glue (which is actualy a solvent) that way you could shape it into form.
Needless to say that solvents mean you'll need a well ventilated work area.
