I finally came around to paint some more of the Khurasan Space Demons.
This time I finished the Hammerheads and Infiltrator "bugs" PLUS the Demon King.

Right now the army looks like this:

I will use it in my Planetfalll book (see: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/planetfall_vide.html (http://www.adpublishing.de/html/planetfall_vide.html) as an example army list. (And yes since Spartans Planetfall announcements I have to rethink the name..) ;)
The ruleset will enable you to play cross genre games like this:

Tidy brushwork as always. They look great as a group.

Thanks, that was the idea - a coherent look!

They look even better on those white (snow?) bases. Very nice! :)

Nice work Agis! You had asked me for their backstory, so I thought I'd provide it. The space demons are bioconstructs of an alien race from another dimension, the Timonids. The Timonids have been fighting a millenia-old war against a greatly superior alien race, and in their desperation to keep up this struggle have designed the space demons as perfect close combat shock troopers.
Occasionally in the course of these wars Timonid invasion forces travel to our dimension then back to their own in an attempt to "outflank" their enemy, and now and then some of the Timonid bio-transports are stranded in our dimension during these manoeuvres. The transport will then dump its space demon passengers on a planet -- and this is how they have spread in our dimension.
The basic trooper is the assault demon, very fierce in attack but relying on massed assault and higher leadership for prime combat employment. These have ribbed heads. Hammerhead demons support these, spitting acid short distances from two spouts on their heads. There are also inflitrator demons, who have smooth domed heads and operate singly, capable of functioning on their own initiative, often outflanking the enemy or sneaking into vulnerable rear-echelon areas -- or onto commercial freighters. :-)
Leading the assault demon swarms are larger creatures called demon kings -- much larger and highly evolved infiltrator demons which command their troops telepathically. Higher up the command chain are the demon queens who plot higher level tactics but are as powerful as a king in close combat.
Even larger demons exist -- the Trolls, huge mindless beasts which use their enormous strength to batter down defences and tear tanks to pieces, and the Colossi, which stride on three long legs and can spit gobs of acid long distances.
Largest of all space demons is the dragon, also called a great queen, which is spawned when a world is almost conquered. This creature will help to annihiliate the last, most tenacious resistance, then flies into space, seeking an Einstein-Rosen Bridge so that it can spread the species to new star systems.

Nice to see them painted so well !
COuld you make some detailed pics of the "hammer head" space demons, please ? THose from the back of the main photo.
I'm currently thinking of modding my Forlorn Hope board game (victory points) adding some minis.
thanks

Big thanks for the background, I will use this when creating the example army!

Nope, 15mm Critical mass minis with Clone Trooper heads by Micromachine, see here: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/imperial.html (http://www.adpublishing.de/html/imperial.html)

Thank you !
By the way, I really like what you did with the star wars 15mm ! A few months ago, I was thinking about these revell plastic kits, and even posted a topic here to try to find ideas...But YOU find a really nice way to use them. Bravo !

@Agis
thx.
was hoping they would have been 25mm clone troopers. my kids want to do the Clone wars I mainly have the West End Games 25mm Star Wars range.
if some one had 25mm clone trooper heads I'd buy quite a few so I can convert up Stormies into clones.
will watch your project with interest loving the Space Demons.

I converted WEG Stormtroopers into Clone Troopers by swapping heads from the plastic Clone Troopers out of the Star Wars Epic Duels game. You could also just paint the color stripes on the Stormtroopers as seen in Revenge of the Sith, add a waist cape and you're sitting pretty.

By the way, soon I am considering doing another batch of Those Certain Fellows on a limited basis, if anyone would be interested? Some of you will be baffled by that but I think others may know what I mean....

Adding the kama and a shoulder paldron would just create ARC troopers not standard clones. Better to add a helmet crest and choose a GAR (grand army of the Republic) colour scheme tbh:

Personally go for phase one clones (bottom left).
Cheers

I might have to see about doing some conversions on the WEG range.
I want to do some of the Star Wars in 15mm and those Space Demons look awesome so I would need to get them as well.
I prefer 15mm scale and have been trying to get more into that scale for some time. [Currently do Battlegroup Kursk in 15mm]
thx for the images and ideas...

'Aliens' with guns?!?
Sorry but that just doesn't work for me.
Hammerheads are interesting though.

'Aliens' with guns?!?
Well, that's why they are "not-Predaliens"... I suppose
;)

I see them as higher functioning pred aliens personally, lovely pj's as ever Agis :D

So tempted to do an order for some Space Demons and Colonial Troopers....
Just need to find some 15mm Ship interiors.
