My first time in this period!
It's just a little vignette of 'The Last of the Mohicans' movie. Having not found anything in this scale, I finally opted for Andrea Miniatures' 'The Volunteer' ::)

It fits my intentions, it's running, has a tomahawk... Close enough. Let's work on it!

The mini is superb, but there is a problem with that: it's absolutely Mel Gibson in The Patriot, you can totally recognize his face. Wide face, big nose... Great. Daniel Day-Lewis' face is longer, thinner and with very distinctive hairlines, cheeks and chin. I'm just a poor amateur, I did what I could :'(

After some additional work this was what I got:

Not perfect, but enough for my skills. To the brushes then!

Finally, some more work on a proper base. The model included two trees without leaves. All I got was some flock (but in autumn colours, just yellow and red :?). After dying absurd amounts of flock the final result was this:

Well, a little bit challenging for me, but I want to believe it's been worth it.
