Title: 20mm fountain
Post by: zizi666 on 30 October 2013, 12:50:24 AM
A while back we decided to put up a 20mm Berlin board at Crisis.
One feature of the  board is a city park, which I offered to decorate. The consensus was that there should be a fountain in the park and thus i created a base in Coreldraw and provided the vector drawing to the friend with the lasercutter and asked him to cut the shape out of 3mm MDf to create a low bassin.
What I got was 5mm high already mounted on a base AND with a second level bassin mounted.
This ment I had to rethink how to put something in it.
As luck would have it, I found an old mini of a fish (dunno where I got it, but I was glad I did). I drew 3 copies of it with silly plastic, cut a piece of some wood profile and put a fig on top of that and scattered cork for rocks in the top bassin. Threw some simple colors on it AND finaly found a use for Modelmates verdigris.
Turned out rather nice I think :

Well, if I'm not on a shopping spree, I'll be at the Red Barons table.
If you're to stumble in our spot, ask for Danny, unless you see a Red Baron (recognizable by his grey shirt) that is not holding a glass of red wine, that will be me  ::)
