To celebrate the release of Battlefield 4, I'm having a huge sale on The Battlefield (http://www.wargamevault.com/product/102355/The-Battlefield-Miniature-Modern-Warfare) so that you can get your first person shooter fix on the tabletop as well!

The sale starts now and will run until November 11, 2013. During that time the PDF version of the game is only $6.99 [that's $3.00 off the normal price], and it is available on Wargame Vault (http://www.wargamevault.com/product/102355/The-Battlefield-Miniature-Modern-Warfare). But wait... there's more!

The print version of the game is 50% off! Just use this link (https://www.createspace.com/3962835) and enter the code ZCRWVMCU when you checkout. Note! This discount code for the print edition can only be redeemed at the provided link and not on Amazon. This is a great chance for players that already have the PDF to pick-up the print edition or for new players to get both versions [complete with quick reference sheets] for a combined price that can't be beat!

See you on The Battlefield!

I always found this multiplayer tabletop game concept really interesting. Sadly, I already have a lot of difficulties to find ONE opponent, so finding 7 others would probably be impossible  lol

Sorry to hear about your difficulty in finding opponents as the unique multiplayer elements of the game are some of most fun. This is especially true when you have a couple of players playing what I like to call the sub-game. These players are actually competing with each other in their own meta-game while at the same time interacting and affecting the larger battle around them. It's interesting to see how the different objectives of simultaneous games creates tension and action that are difficult to plan for. Next, you throw a zombie player into the mix, and now you have a party! :D

From the game's Vault description:

"It features first person shooter [FPS] and third person shooter [TPS] basing options to empower the player to enjoy the game with the visual style that suits their tastes and miniature collection."

Huh?   ???

Huh?   ???
:D Here's the basic breakdown without you knowing how all the other rules work.

If using FPS basing, then each individual model is a single unit. This allows you to play the game with as few as 4 models in a two player game but gives players with '8 plus' models a dizzying number of deployment options and the ability to respond to tactical changes on the field dynamically. It also means many players will have enough models in their collection to provide enough minis for everyone in a larger multiplayer game. The drawback with FPS basing is that you don't have the ability to gauge a unit's strength simply by looking at them on the tabletop without using a gaming aid.

The TPS basing option uses a number of models [usually 4] to represent a single unit. As stated above, the big advantage here is that you can track both damage and unit strength by simply looking at the models on the tabletop. TPS basing also changes the way that a unit interacts with terrain and how certain actions are performed. It opens up some tactics [and drawbacks] that aren't present when using the FPS method.

Hope that helps!
