Title: Looking for Traveller SDB's
Post by: The_Beast on 02 November 2013, 12:59:53 PM
Topic started on TMP, several suggestions were made, including an Aerotech fighter carrier Vengeance.

Picked up a pack, three snips later with a sprue cutter, and behold. Now for a bit of shaving and scribeing incredibly tiny panel lines...  lol

Sorry for the mess; can't seem to crop the image at the moment. I'll try to fix laters.

Please do chime in with other suggestions!

No problem; I can carry this thread on my own.  lol

Not proud. Nor shy. Well...

Serendipity led me to Magister Militum, and Chariot Miniatures. Mostly known for 15mm historicals, I gather, there are a few spaceships, including some asteroid 'ships' that would work for me as outposts.

However, on topic, there's a shuttle (UIO 03) that could do as a small SDB:

It might help if we knew what a SDB was supposed to look like. I can't remember what those ships are. Picture?

Terribly sorry. First, I'll give the TMP discussion.

Then a random pic of a system defense boat from a Google search:

I think you're on the right track. I can see that's a System Defense Boat from the Traveller universe. Fills in all the check boxes. It's time for some paint.
