Title: TheCapn's Reaper Bones
Post by: TheCapn on 05 November 2013, 08:33:13 AM
Here are some of the Reaper Bones minis I have painted. I think they are fantastic and have no problem with the amount of detail they have. I'll post more as I finish them!

Cheers, TheCapn

Cthulhu

The idea is he is 'phasing' into reality... Glowy Blue foot...

And a red dragon WiP... With Cthulhu peeking around!

Lovely Cthulu! Airbrush?

The dwarf turned out very nice too! I have a minor niggle with it thought. Cow horns are usually darker at the tip and lighter at the base, so for them to be "proper" you should invert the gradient. It's like flames being brighter at the centre and darker at the edges but most people paint them red with yellow and white highlights.

Then again, anything goes as it's fantasy and there's no telling what the dwarven horned beasts look like.

COOL STUFF! The Dwarf's face is WONDERFULLY expressive....FINE brushwork all around. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks folks!

@phreedh
Airbrush for the most part and GW washes for the rest! I do love adding purple to fleshy areas.

As for the horns, I was thinking tusks while painting them... Now that I think about it, well, What creature has curved tusks?! I'll have to get the little guy back in the painting que for a touch up!

@DeafNala
I love painting faces! They make or break a figure. :)
