Am I correct in saying that not all IHMN adventures have to be on Earth? Therefore not all IHMN companies have to be human. These are some very rough ideas for Martian companies based on John Carter/ERB Mars.
Red Martian/City Dweller Company
Priest: (A Thern?) +1 leadership, no armor, poison?, magic abilities
Prince: +2 leadership, brig armor, pistol, sword, duelist
Captain: +1 leadership, lined jacket, pistol, sword
City Guard: lined jacket, rifled musket (takes a turn to load, range same as a military rifle), bayonet (two may form a heat ray team). Heat Ray has similar stats to an Arc Cannon
Cultist of Issus: no armor, hand weapons, fanatic, poison?
City Militia: no armor, rifled musket, bayonet
Green Martian/Desert Nomad Company
Green Martian Clan Lord: +2 leadership, tough, brig armor, rifled musket, two handed sword, causes fear?
Green Martian Shaman: no armor, lots of magic abilities, tough
Green Martian Warrior: lined coat (tough skin), tough, rifled musket, two handed sword
Pack Beast: no armor, +2 speed, poisoned, tough?
White Ape: Tough skin (brig armor) tough, fanatic, causes fear
Again these are some very rough ideas for the companies. Please feel free to give me more ideas.

The way that we have designed the rules is to give you the capability to use them for any conflict you can imagine in the late Victorian era. We positively encourage you to experiment and adapt them as you see fit :D
In short: go for it!

Indeed not. When I have the freedom to unpack all my things again I shall be doing Martian and Venusian Parrotman Companies.

I'm certainly going to do a Martian company - if you are going to base yours on James' Martians PM me and we can trade ideas on troop stats and company makeup
-
Will do, not doing it until my building is finished though. I've promised to put things away for a bit.

James' Martians?? Do tell...

Tin Man is back on Kickstarter with, I think, a more realistic approach, and is already better than 80% funded with 26 days to go. Perhaps these figures could be of help in forming a Martian---or Venutian?---Company. I am unsure of their compatibility with other miniatures, but perhaps additional stretch goal figures (as yet unknown) would provide enough so mixing is unnecessary.

I like TinMan's red Martians and critters but I already have those. His the Green Martian does not appeal to me. Of the Greens available (old Heritage, Paroom Station, etc.) I much prefer those from Bronze Age :
