IHMN game photos from this years' BLAM 2013 meet.
Dewbakuk brought the Northstar demo game boards. This is the docklands board:

Unfortunately I was too busy fighting my game to photograph Lord Curr taking on Scotland Yard's finest on the street board.

Great set up and nice to see the lads getting some action Dave!
I'm sorry I missed this one as I'd been looking forward to seeing it.
-
Fantastic! :o
Are these 4Ground buildings straight out of the box? Must have been a good game!
-
Good pics, cheers Dave.

A slight dry brush around the base is all that I've done to them. Other than assemble them of course, which my wife did most of :D
-
Do the upper floors also have detailed interiors? I've seen shots of the ground level at the 4ground website but they are not very generous with pictures of the upper levels.
Did you remove the upper floors for gaming? I guess it's difficult to keep track which models are on which floor in several 3 or 4 level buldings.
-
Yes they're all fully detailed with working hatches and an office on each floor etc. These boards should be making an appearance
at the Mantic Open Day at the end of the month, so when I've got it all out again I'll take photo's of the interiors.
We didn't really use the interiors on these games as it can make it awkward when teaching someone the rules. When we do use them then yes, we leave the floors above the figure off so you don't forget where they are. When fighting up and down a warehouse, we usually leave the ground floor on the board and lie out the upper floors next to each other on the board edge so you can just play through.

I'm glad you chaps all had a spiffing do.
Unfortunately Charles and I were unable to attend due to a calenderical malfunction. We had double-booked BLAM with our friends Matt & Claire's steampunk-themed wedding :o
We felt like idiots but we couldn't let Claire down. She needed some senior citizens to bring a sense of style to the occasion :D

Was it a good wedding?

Was it a good wedding?
Well beyond good. I actually danced for the first time in years :)
-
Well that's all right then. Hopefully lots of good costumes.
-
Hope you don't mind another question on the buildings but is the brick structure printed onto plain mdf or is this a 3d structure?

I dressed as Sgt Drake and Charles went in full Victorian evening dress. At least half the attendees were in full Steampunk attire, including the Bride and Groom and even the cake.
It was amusing seeing so many well-dressed people rocking down to Nirvana's Teen Spirit lol

Steampunk cake, awesome!

Nope, don't mind at all. The brickwork is lasered into the wall so has a fair bit of relief. The walls and recesses etc are made from several seperate pieces. Increases the time it takes to build but gives a much better appearance and 3d feel.

The buildings are pretty awesome. They feel very solid and the small details everywhere are excellent.
You could run an entire battle inside just one of the warehouses, perhaps doing a Victorian version of The Raid or Dredd (new version).
