I saw these the other day. Looks good. We'll be featuring some of their ranges in Epic Heroes.
-
Now I need to work out how to fit a squad of protoceratops into any future game I play :D
-
Interesting, never thought I'd ever see those old AD&D Range miniatures again. I wonder what else they're going to be casting from that old range.
-
Hmm, I like those in the top few pics but the bottom few aren't so great. Useful, though!
-
Sigh!
Another long OOP range that I meticulously hunted down over several years, now easily available at considerably less than what I paid for some of them.
There's probably a moral here somewhere .... o_o
Cheers!

lol
You know I also hunted down considerable encounter groups of three types of these. The Lost Lands or "iguanids" as Mirliton calls them, the ones from the Horrors of the Marsh, add on pack and flamethrower are fairly common but the ones from the dedicated Lost Lands box set are hands down the rarest Grenadier figures I've personally hunted for. I had ebay staked out for FIVE YEARS before pouncing on the first chance I saw to own them. The lot was bigger than I would have liked, too, so now I have tons.
That said, these are not expensive as new figures go these days but are more than I paid for any of the lizardmen I got on ebay over the years, shipping included and even including the lost lands ones!
Anyway, great figures, all. By sheer coincidence I just took pics of my AD&D lizardmen to share recently and plan to post them here in a minute. The Lost Lands ones I plan to use as troglodytes. Not sure about the Dragon Lords ones. Maybe they'll be another tribe in an alternate color scheme, or maybe I'll just hold on them.
The frog men are only so-so, not Chernak's best, but I'm tempted by them all the same as 25mm bullywugs are few and far between and these are another fairly rare sight on ebay.
edit: posted by take on the AD&D lizardmen just now:

I think it's great they are re-releasing some of the old sculpts but the range doesn't gel for me overall as there are too many different styles. I would love to see a full range of lizardmen including 'civilian' & 'priesthood' types.....potentially in a Slahn style :D
I put the rest of the Grenadier AD&D blisters on my blog, some of the blisters were off ebay (Chris Fitzpatrick's pics) and were signed by Andrew Chernack...wish I'd bid on them at the time but it was another 'mortgage comes first' period :(

I should also have mentioned that the Mirliton versions will probably be made of actual real bendable metal, rather than the old 'Touch me and I will break!' variety Grenadier used to use.
I Agree that the Lost Lands ones are the best, hardest to get and most expensive. I didn't rate the AD&D ones until I saw Spooktalker's painted versions.
Cheers!

I like the second row. I may have to get some of these!
