Hi all, I want this set 28mm Foundry Victorian: Secret Agents of the Crown but I can't seem to find it anywhere but at a wholesaler that only sells to game stores. I have e-mail the foundry people directly but I go no response and they are not displaying the set on their website. So other then the wholesaler this seems to have disappeared, anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
Irish.

this is one mystery of the "new" foundry ( new for the old ones who bought figs in the 80's )
seem' that in some suburb of Nottingham, you can find the cemetery of the old molds ...
sorry, i can't help

i have the Bill Sykes found on ebay .
this pack and some others seem's to be listed as avaible by the warstore

This set was made up of "Limited Edition" and marketed by the previous management team, has they were meant to be "Limited Edition" and not for general release, they have subsequently been removed from production.
-
SO your saying they will not be making something that people want to buy because originally it was meant to be LE but wasn't for a long time?
-
that's management , my friend lol
that' why old guys cant understand this world ???
-
I have faith and george to sell...... ;)

E-mail Sent.

I'm not sure what figures you're after but I do have a limited edition Holmes and Watson by Foundry. Are these, by any chance, some of the figures you're looking for? They came as as a pair in a blister.
I have them half painted. I gave up on them because I don't like them. So if you want them you can have them.

I don't know those two, I was looking for Faith and George from the above set and VonMoltke said he had them for sale but never responded to my e-mail or PM so I now believe he was trolling me. Do you happen to have a link to a picture of those two miniatures? Also I love your website by the way.
Cheers,
Daniel

They may become available if the moulds can be found. There was some interest in a Moriarty figure I had painted and shared on google + and my blog by Bryan Ansell it was suggested that if they can find it they will release them.

I have a Victorian chap in Hussar jacket with a Winchester and a lady in long coat with pistol and sword. Do these sound the figures you are after? Do you have a piccie? I used to go to the Foundry sales under the old management and they sold off all sorts of Victoriana goodness at silly prices!
-
Here's a pic of the pack in question:

Hello Grimjack,
Sorry about the lack of pictures in my description I haven't the foggiest how to post them on the forums. Regardless Faith Tobias, the lady with the long coat, sword and pistol and Gorge Tobias the fellow with the Winchester are the two I am looking for. Are you considering selling them? If you are PM me the amount you think is fair for them and we can work out details.
Cheers,
Irish

Sorry, lost track of this post due to family commitments. I have now traded those figures with a friend but was at Foundry the other day and will go again to see what I can find. It may be worth emailing them direct as they keep finding all sorts of things and a small nudge may result in them being cast up.?
Sorry for losing track after realising your hopes.

Irishrover already said he'd gotten no joy from eMails.
After seeing the image, please do see if you can find more! They are SMASHING!

My experience of Foundry is don't bother with emails: give them a call. They are nice blokes but I think there is a lot of reorganisation going on at the moment and thing seem somewhat chaotic.
-
Any updates?
...give them a call...
Between differing times, schedule differences by culture, and sheer cost, those of us mostly tied to land lines find trunk calls cross briny a bit daunting.
And, yes, I'm an OLD guy.

Given the 'ZZ', I supposed there can be more than one... :D
Actually, hard to tell with the coat, but a bit skinny for me unless you go back three / four years. :'(

I have given up on my search after being jerked around so much. Good luck in yours.

Guys
I have only just seen this thread.....no promises BUT I think I have a few of the packs in question sitting in the Warehouse....as I said no promises. I know I had 10 or so of them at one stage, just not sure if they were all sold in the last "Open Warehouse Day"
As it is the Brother in Laws Birthday today and the Wifes tomorrow and my Fathers on Saturday, I may be:
Too tired
Too smashed
Too P#$% Off
Too busy
Too run off my feet also trying to get to the hospital to see my youngest and have a game with her...yes she is back in, looks like we spend another year in the hospital just like last year!!!
to check for a few days so please be understanding if I am delayed.

As a recent Foundry worker, I can tell you that as of late last year the Ansells have no intention of selling the Limited Edition models again - they see the previous management's wholesaling of them as a betrayal of the folks who bought them as Limited Edition in good faith.
-
Peter I will be happy when you check but children are a priority, take care of your daughter first and foremost.

Still a damn sight better than the SPI, who'd take a survey of what games folks would want bundled into the mag, then release the winners as full- priced boxed games.
I've bought forced-scarcity items a few times, but I'm put off by the 'Franklin Mint' mentality of many Kickstarters (not backed one yet), and prefer knowing I may have a chance to replace or match a figure in the future.

I agree, I hate seeing a mini being oh my gods that is an amazing miniature and then finding out they were limited edition and baring mad luck on e-bay I can't get it.
-
Now, lad, you don't want to go agreeing with me. I'm a TERRIBLE curmudgeon.
You'll get yourself a hideous reputation that way... lol
Doug

I have to come clean... I recently spent $40 (though I got lucky and had free shipping) on a re-sold miniature which was a kickstarter exclusive.
Now, in that case, I could have actually had just that mini by buying into the kickstarter for about $25, but I'd missed the campaign at the time. But still.

MY better half would likely push me off the second floor balcony of our apartment if I spent 40 bucks on a single mini.
-
What if it was a REALLY BIG mini?
-
What if it was a REALLY BIG mini?
It depends they are not really nerdy so it would depend on the Mini and what I was doing with it. Though since they found out about bones minis they say I don't need any other big miniatures(oxymoron?) but their inexpensive ones.
Tanks and such I tend to scratch build if they are more then 40 or got a few month with no mini buying to justify it. They have excellent sense with money where as I without my budget would likely buy minis over food. :D
-
I was about to say 'tsk, tsk', until I realized I just bought some KS exclusive stuff. Course, it WAS for the daughter's Zombicide collection... :D

Evening All
First I would like to thank all those that wished my daughter well. Even though this is off topic I feel I should give a little update with regards to THAT situation. She is again out of hospital, but after a year the doctors are no closer to a diagnosis let alone a treatment.
Now to the bit that alot of you have been holding your breath over...do I still have any of these packs in stock......the answer is YES, I have 3 packs.
BUT, you will ALL be saddend to know the packs are empty, someone has cut them open and taken the contents. This most likely occurred at one of our last 2 Open Warehouse Days. This is not the first time that such a deplorable act happend, and it is why we decided to stop the open days.
What hurts me more is that the last 3 Warehouse days were "by invitation only" so the theif was a supposedly good customer/friend. I am resonable certain who the culprit was and vengance shall be mine at our next rugby game.
So I am sorry to say that I cannot help this time.
regards
Pete

As for the "friend" - karma happens and the rugby field sounds like a good place for it...

Pete I am glad to hear your Daughter is back home and I hope she better soon. I also wish I was on the Rugby Pitch with you when you get your payback, I dislike thieves to began with but I really can't stand greedy thieves.
Cheers,
Daniel

I have the set you're looking for and I am not doing anything urgent with it. Are you still looking? Please PM if you are.

Isn't Greedy and Thief redundant?
Yes, I don't even know how to play Rugby but I would like to be on the sidelines cheering.
Of course, I have been told/chastised that "innocent until proven guilty" and "vigilante justice" apply here - from a non-war gamer/miniatures person who may be right but... still...
Gracias,
Glenn
Back on topic, how do you handle dealing with LE type figures other than EvilBay prices?
-
Mixed good and bad on the daughter, I see. I know it's not satisfying, but to some extent, I'm of the 'hoping you never find out' camp. Sometimes these weird things just go away, never to return, never to be explained.

Sorry, wasn't commenting on typos, just thinking how we occasionally speak to our hounds. 'Sic 'em!'
Wow, we've had our share of thefts at the store, but the thought of a trusted regular... :o
Hell, we've got a jar/plate for people to toss money in for snacks, and we usually are ahead. (Apparently, some folk think our 'shark' is for loose change or tips...)
Well, should you actually recover same, and while there are certainly those in line ahead of me, if anyone is squeamish about a few spots of blood on 'em, or large, caked gobbets, keep me in mind. ;)

Thanks! I misread him the first time. Dopey moi!
I've sent a PM, indicating IrishRover and I willing to split.
IrishRover: If you change your mind and want the set, no problem. I should like Sherlock, but would be satisfied with Bill and Constance; will put desire for the rest in abeyance. ;->=
