Hi all,
So I bought the PDF for the book and now I am looking to make a few leagues out of it. Rangers, Vlad and U Company are easy and wont take me long what I having trouble with is the templars. I don't have a clue where to get armoured figures who fit that description.
Cheers,
Daniel

Templars ?
Grandmaster ? search for a late HYW fig in plate armour and 2HW ... or try some Warhammer empire 2 handed swordsmen or inquisitor
for the Knights, master and chaplain West wind EOTD EOTD-03 The Brotherhood
for sergents Westwind EOTD BOTD-10 Armed Brothers (4 figs)
an other question ? ;)

Those are great but as my roommate just saw them and screamed he wants them for his Cognoscenti my hunt continues. I have to agree with him that they do look like great Cognoscenti.

so, always west wind , but Gothic Horror » Vampire Wars

Would not men in medieval / Renaissance armor and costume look a little too... weird (and noticeable) in a Victorian setting, even an 'alternate' one?
In the German movie (or TV piece?) 'Blood of the Templars (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1FLG5-UHnA)' modern Templars wear very long coats à la Matrix / Underworld but yet fight among themselves mostly with swords -seemingly their rival fractions abide to a kind of Barsoomian 'Honor Code''
-
So far those templars are winning I just need to get some pistols for them.

I have some of these from Ironclad, which will work perfectly for most of my Templar company:

I like the combination of crusader helmet with breastplate and modern guns. The cutlass-type swords will work well too for the 19th century (although I may modify these into sabres).
A couple will need head changes and I'll need to convert one or two to get the options I want. Otherwise, these are a great basis for quickly fielding a Templar company. The only figure I will have to find is a chaplain.

Those are spot bloody on! Wonderful.
-
The Ironclad in WWI (German IIRC) body armor indeed fit excellently.
-
Don't forget these two:

I modified mine slightly to make them both sword and pistol chaps
-
Change of plan. Rather than Templars I will do Knights of St John, based on the stats in the Cognoscenti list but adding variants of the Sergeants, Chaplain and Master from the Templar list. Also look out for
stolen acquired Turkish automaton technology.

Can't go wrong with an elephant howdah

Odd how these things appear just after you've written them into the next supplement... ;)
