Title: Army Painter Drying Time
Post by: Old Guy on 24 November 2013, 11:34:29 AM
How long do you wait before varnishing over Army Painter. The tin says 48 hours and the 'varnish' is hard, I find the figures touch dry after 12. I lack patience these days, so, do I wait?

I wait at least 24hrs. 48 if I can.

24 hours is definitely the minimum I'd wait.

I can say I've cheated and dull coated at 12, but 24 is better. I used to leave them dry in my garage, which had under-floor heat, and therefore was hot and very dry. That helped.

I set mine up on a board on an electric sealed oil heater, for 48 hours minimum.  Dont rush this, you will not get good results.

Fair enough, i honestly thought that that long in an oven would have a negative affect on miniatures.
