Is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that our international forum has such a US-centric calendar?
I realise it is a function of the forum software, but do they have more international templates you can use, or anything of that nature? Lots of countries have an Independence Day, and they can't all be on the 4th of July. Likewise Mother's Day is not in May in my country.
It's no biggie, I'd put it bottom of the list of things to do to the forum, but it would be nice if LAF didn't assume we are all Americans. (Maybe just add (USA) in brackets after all these holidays I never heard of. That would do.)
Don't get the impression I've got my knickers in a twist over this or anything, it was just an idle thought I had while looking through the calendar. :)

yes, it's there :)
of course, you're right, the forum software is written by Americans that's the reason for the Calendar template. It will be changed for sure. But not before end of June.

As long as we add the important international holidays, like "Talk Like A Pirate Day" and "Star Wars Day", I'll be happy. :)

Don't forget 'Shuffle like a Zombie Day' (no, not Mondays).
October 4th is Cinnamon Roll Day in Sweden (Kanelbullens dag).
-
25th of May - Towel Day
and don't forget the "end of war" days, those should really be reminded and celebrated!

Now THAT´s a holiday we´ve been waiting for! Hooray for the unsung heroic buns of Sweden!
